Julie O’Mara represents a BK customer perspective and has been a frequent purchaser of BK books since our founding in 1992. Julie is president of an organization development consulting firm specializing in leadership, facilitation, and managing diversity. Previously, she was director of communications for The Marmon Group, a billion-dollar international conglomerate, and she began her career in marketing communications at Whirlpool Corporation. Julie is former national president of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and has received many leadership and training awards. She is founder and manager of the conference-call based “Diversity Book Club” for diversity professionals, and is active in a neighborhood book club. Julie is co-author of the Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks and a member of the Standards Taskforce of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is coauthor of the bestselling Jossey-Bass book, Managing Workforce 2000: Gaining the Diversity Advantage.
