Tammy R. Barnett owns T.R. Barnett & Associates, Inc., a training and communications consulting company that helps organizations develop employees’ leadership and communication skills. She has more than 20 years’ experience evaluating, developing, and conducting training programs for employees in a variety of industries, including banking, manufacturing, health care, and nonprofit organizations.

Barnett develops and facilitates leadership and communication courses for the University of Southern Indiana’s Division of Outreach and Engagement, where she also serves as an assessor in the Management Diagnostic Center. She also taught communication courses for military personnel and the City Colleges of Chicago while a resident of the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Barnett has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Science degree in mass communication from the University of Southern Mississippi. A DDI certified trainer, she has also completed Simplex Levels 1 & 2 Facilitator Training.

Her articles have appeared in the Evansville Courier, Evansville Business Magazine, Evansville Living, the Jackson Clarion Ledger, and the former Indiana Journal of Commerce & Industry.
